The department of Commerce was established in the year 2015. During 2018-19 BA Economics course was launched. The department is offering 6 UG and 2 PG Programmes. The department started to offer Research Programmes from 2015 onwards. At present 950 students are pursuing their studies. The unique strength of the department is its well qualified and experienced faculty members. The deemed status of our Institution enabled the department to enrich the Course content to enhance the employability of the students. The infrastructural facilities are incomparable with premier Institutions of this nature. The department is successful in empowering both men and women the women students of socially and economically weaker sections of our society in this semi urban part of the Chennai city.
