Vision
The Department of Physics, School of Arts & Science, Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research is the leading regional centre for University-level- Educational program in the field of physics. Envisions training students for quality physics education and equip them with such skills for higher studies in national higher educational institutions. Mission is “to extend the frontiers of knowledge, stimulate creativity, and solve real-world problems, prepare students to think broadly, deeply and critically, and to contribute to the world, and deploy institution strengths to benefit our region, country, and world.
Mission
M1. To Provide high quality physical science education and equipping students for higher education
M2. To provide students with state of the art knowledge in physics to equip students to compete globally.
M3. To create such infrastructure in the department for meeting the above mission
M4. To develop among students, sensitivity to contribute to the betterment of society through knowledge.
HoD's Desk
It is a pleasure to Head the Department of Physics at Faculty of Arts and science, Bharath Institute of Higher education and research. The department offers B.Sc and M,Sc course. The department has a team of highly experienced and motivated faculty members. All the Faculty members are well qualified and competitive enough in preparing the young minds (our students) for global competition. Students of physics department are highly motivated and ready for research with hands on experience on current technologies. Students achieve University top positions and are working with Top level companies like Facebook, Capgemini, Accenture, TCS, Think & Learn, Genpact, HCL, Cognixia etc.
Students are facilitated with Personality Development Program (PDP Classes), Communication Classes for better placements. Competitive exams, quizzes and other co-curricular activities are the part of schedule. Sports, Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities takes place at Institute level and students participate in various Intra-College, Inter-College, Inter-University fests/competitions.
Department works for overall growth of students and inculcate the qualities/features that are required and acceptable by Society. Faculty/Students take initiative for Social causes at individual level and as a team under different Banners/Clubs of the Institute. Turning a student in to a good citizen is the prime aim of Physics department.
